it's been too long...

wow...it's been almost a month since i've posted on here. i've been busy with lots of different things lately...

acteens started back 4 or 5 weeks ago, and is going well. we made bibs last night for some special needs students that a girl at our church works with...it's always fun to do some hands-on missions work.

friday, 9/5 my friend lauren got married to keith...by far the best rainy wedding i've ever been to!! so happy for them...a sweet, sweet couple.

this past saturday was alana's third birthday party...the veggie tale party to end all veggie tale parties!! bob and larry cupcakes, patato spoon races, lots of veggie tales music....it was fantastic. alana was very excited about the party and very excited to open all the gifts..."that's for me!", she even "read" most of the cards...very sweet!! she is growing into such a smart little person. i am so thankful to be able to watch her grow, she is a very special part of my life! her actual birthday is sept. 20... next saturday. they switched the party since i am going out of town...i feel so special!!

i am leaving wednesday night to travel to cleveland, ohio with my mother. my cousin is getting married on saturday in clarion, pennsyvania, so we are staying with my aunt and uncle (mom's sister and brother-in-law) wednesday and thursday, then on friday we will all go to pennsylvania for the wedding festivities. andrew is my youngest cousin on my mom's side, he's six years younger than me. when he was a baby, we were so happy for my aunt and uncle, and so excited to have him in our family...he was like our little mascot or something. we all just loved on him all the time. when i was about 7 or so i remember that when i had trouble sleeping my mom would always say "think happy thoughts." andrew was always one of my happy thoughts. kind of silly, but hey, i was 7!! hopefully we will have a safe and fun trip...and hopefully my mom won't get on nerves too bad...just kidding =)
